ABOUT US The Columbian Bank is an independently owned, family-run bank that has been serving the people and businesses of eastern Kansas since 1920. As the area has grown, so have we--first merging with Topeka Bank and Trust in 1985 (to better serve our customers in Shawnee County), and then expanding into Johnson County a few years later. Our longevity in these communities not only makes us a pillar of stability, but also allows our customers the unique opportunity of doing business with a bank that's unusually in tune with this area. It also gives us a distinct advantage over other financial institutions when it comes to working closely with small businesses. During a time when gigantic mega-banks seem to dominate the landscape, an independent, Kansas native like Columbian is a rarity. And a badge we're very proud to wear.
